Autumn Photography

Hi everyone!
It was finally sunny over here and I took out some of the stablemate. I swear, I haven't taken out my traditionals in a while... But they are just such a hassle to carry around!

SM Scale Prop Day!

Hello everybody again!
So, I didn't have anything to do today....and that's how this whole prop day started.

While watching CBC Heartland, I was inspired to make more SM scale jumps!

Every jump starts out as a very rough copy, for example this one is still unpainted!

And then there's the finished product! This one still has little glue gun's "hairs" sticking out and but I will remove those later and add another coat of paint!

And then one jump inspiration.... I ended up making 2 more!

This black and blue jump,

And this wooden dowel cross country jump,
I saw this design on Pinterest and I thought to myself: I got to recreate it!

This water jump, that currently Prelude is trotting on, was made a few days ago and still needs a little tweaking but so far so good!

And I decided to give it a try with the Barrel racing too, since I do have this guy! I hope to get the actual plastic barrels that Breyer has in that Barrel Racing set!

If anyone wants a tutorial on any of these let me know! I'd love to make a tutorial :)

Let me know your critique as well in the comments please :D

That's all for this post!

I have an obsession

Hello everyone!
I haven't written a blog post in a while... The weather over here has been terrible and on top of that I had to get sick as well.
Last week was quite a busy week... With me commencing (graduating) and then Thanksgiving weekend.

Commencement was pretty great, I got to see majority of my friends and talk to them and see people I've known for years, some I knew since grade 3!
The highlight was obviously seeing my boyfriend, but we didn't end up spending that much time with each other that day. But I got to spend like 5-6 hours with him on Thanksgiving day. Which was the best day this whole month!

Anyway, back to the actual blog's title.
I am pretty sure that I have an obsessing with the SM Scale. I have this need to have all of those SM Riders that Breyer Released for this year and the Family Mystery packs (not all of them but majority) and THOSE SM FOALS. I swear, the SM Foals are the most adorable. I wish Breyer would release a new foal mold for the Traditional scale as well.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone!
Marshall munching on his hay
It was a beautiful day outside, especially in the park. All the leaves are changing their colours and it is quite breath taking!

Of course I brought a long a few stablemates, but I ended up only taking photos of one...
I was pretty tired, and I'll be honest I haven't gotten that much sleep either...
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for photography!!

Anyway,
I am thankful for all the good stuff that has happened to me this year, and the people I got to meet and know, and a bunch of personal stuff! :)

That's all for this post!
Thanks for reading :)

Another Diorama?

Hello everybody!

I made a hedge! Yes you can see those two wooden dowels sticking out, but that will be covered once I get my supply of moss.
But for now,  I must say it looks like a "wild" hedge...A hedge that hasn't been trimmed for a while and became rather unruly.
But this is a basically the view of what is behind of where I work.

My boyfriend also got me this awesome horse poster, it's a mare and a foal, and it looks so cute! I can't wait to actually see it in person and hang it up in my room!

Rummaging through old photographs

Hello everybody!
Since, I haven't taken any new photography, I decided to rummage through my photos folder on my computer...

Breyer OF Totilas, aka "The Dark Knight"
The Dark Knight (or Batman) here is pictured with the view from my window. I took this photo during the Ice Storm that was happening in Toronto. Oh boy, it was beautiful outside! To see more pictures please go here: Ice Storm Photography .

And then there is my photography from 2011-2012 era,

Then there's my first realistic photography tries... Which are pretty good, except the grass is too tall.

I feel so bad for this model (Breyer OF Marabella), she is so pretty and cute but I never do photography with her. I love her, but at the same time I never actually take her outside.

The one thing I don't like about Traditional scale photography is that travelling with them sometimes is a mission (especially when you have more than one). I feel like the maximum number of Traditionals I could bring (if I travel somewhere) is 2. While with stablemates, because they are so small and fit ANYWHERE is an unlimited amount! (I exaggerate).

And then came Lakeshore photography. I unfortunately didn't go in the last 2 years there and couldn't do any recent photography... But next summer, I have to go!

Then I took a big break during 2013-2014 and then I restarted again!
Lack of inspiration sure does kill the mood for photography or anything creative!

That's all for this post!
