Marina's Aragorn

Hello everybody!
I think you already met this guy but he's so pretty I had to share more pictures of him!

Marina's Aragorn, Peter Stone DAH 2014
When I look at him I am so thankful that I got him last year & the wait for him was worth it!

The New Peter Stone Horses Website??

Hello everybody!
I know I'm pretty much spamming right now, but I am trying to catch up for all the time I've been absent.

So, I looked at the new Peter Stone Horses Website when it was first released this year... And I wasn't actually impressed... I liked the old website and this one just seems a little tacky.

I mean it looks nice and all but really... It doesn't feel like a Peter Stone Horses Website.

Another thing I'd like to say about the photographs of their horses... If the horse's coat is white or grey or light I think it is best to use a darker background. You can't really see the horse that well when both the background and the horse are white. ESPECIALLY FOR THE RESINS OR MOLDS!

BUT The new "zoom" in feature (I'm not sure how you actually call it, but I'll call it the ZOOM).

The New Design-A-Horse Page looked better on StonePonys Website...
I don't see a whole page where it tells you what colours, markings and etc they have and the DAH Form.

What are your opinion(s) on the new website?
Do you like the old one or the new one? Comment down below please :)

The many colours... of Emmitt, the DAH.

He is the most beautiful model I have ever owned and own. Thank you bae <3

That's all for this post!

The DAH Appreciation Post

Yesterday was my 18th birthday, and I finally got my very first and only Peter Stone Design-A-Horse... Thank you le boyfriend <3

Meet... Emmitt, the PS DAH!

Mmm dapples <3

He has a such sweet face! That little heartshaped snip <3

Taken without flash under very cloudy conditions

He's just sooo beautiful!

He's still a bit dusty, and has a few flaws on him, but they are very minor

Above his eye, there are these weird 2 patches of grey, I am not sure what it is (btw he's dusty)

Random black marks, but they are barely visible unless you're analyzing every detail of the horse

A little bit of paint left overs on the knee

8 pieces of small lint stuck to his paint... The biggest one is definitely noticeable to the "naked" eye.

Random dark stripe, but it's not really noticeable
There are a few flaws, but some of them are small, and then there's the pieces of lint and the 2 grey patches on his above his eye that are pretty noticeable. But I'm not going to complain, his shading is lovely and overall he turned out to be gorgeous :)
Since, I've missed the deadline for entering the Toronto Model Horse Live Show, I'll hopefully be attending it next year... If they host one again.
I'll still try to show this guy at the show because eventhough he has some minor flaws, his paint job is amazing and the dapples too!

The DAH arrived!!

Hello everyone!
Long time, no write?
Anyway, my boyfriend received my birthday DAH this morning... He also forgot to hide it before I came over. Once I saw the Peter Stone Horses box... I had to see our DAH.
The box is pretty big... I didn't expect it to be that big, but model horses need protection! He came wrapped up in bubble wrap and a few packing peanuts.
Now, I wasn't able to take any good quality photos because I wasn't even supposed to see him until my birthday... But I took a picture of him with my crappy blackberry camera.

Le beautiful, most precious horse in my entire collection, Peter Stone DAH!
He's a liver chestnut with dapples &  diamond & small snip (it's a heart shaped snip!) on his face and 2 coronets on his hind feet with striped hooves.
He's absolutely stunning! The phone camera doesn't capture his colour properly (it's actually mahogany) and  he still looks beautiful!

He's a bigger than what I imagined him to be. He's around the size of my Zenyatta (who is my tallest horse in my collection). Which was kinda  a surprise, thank god the pony pouch that I made him fits!

He has really nice dapples on his barrel, neck & hips. The pain job is amazing! I fell totally in love with this colour! I'm already thinking up of some names for him

I simply cannot wait to take photographs of him!

I can feel the Peter Stone DAH Addiction already.... Oh well, another DAH will probably happen in a year or two, but I doubt any sooner than that.

I've seen le DAH in the sneak peeks but the picture showed him as more of a brown tone, but when I actually saw him he's more of a reddish tone, so I'm very happy.
Thank you, Emmie <3

Anyway! I hope y'all had a wonderful day!
That's all for this post,
~Marina

EDIT:
His snip is absolutely adorable!

Peter Stone - My Likes

I decided to post some pictures that I found on the Peter Stone website or their facebook page.... For future reference and etc.
Taken from the Peter Stone website - Rapunzel Tail Arabian
I love this guy! I absolutely loooove the tail and the mane and this mould! Originally he was for $200 but this weekend he was $100. *sigh* I wish I had money to spend on these beauties right now! I will for sure add him to my "Peter Stone Wanted" list!

I love the hoof stripes! I can't want to see how mine would look like!

Wow, the dapples the colour! Sooty Buckskins are just so yummy! Maybe if I beg my parents they will supply me with my birthday money and I could get a DAH in this colour! BUT considering I've been needing a new phone (since my Blackberry is having so many problems... It's 4 years old, so I can't complain), and I'm already getting a DAH for my birthday...I think I will pass on a DAH until December or even next year.

UGHHH I need to make a mare and foal set one day!

I swear this would be my boyfriend's dream horse! He loves Batman...and well I love horses... so if you put the two together... You'd get this! (plus le boyfriend likes the ASB mould)

Arabian Show Halter Set (Part I)

The chest piece is done... Now for the halter...
I do not have any Traditional scale Arabians, so I don't have the measurements for the halter. I was thinking of making it on one of my smaller head models (GG Valentine Breyer OF) and adjusting it when I will receive my DAH.
This is the first time I'm making an Arabian halter set, so far I think I'm doing a pretty good job :)

As much as I tried to have the same colour for the band and the tassels... It didn't work out. The colours in real life look very close, but on camera they look totally different.
So much tassels! It took me 4 hours to make 33 tassels
I apologize for disappearing for a few weeks... Exams and new semester... But I'll try blogging as much as I can on the weekend :)

That's it for this post!
Cheers,
~Marina
